Over 23 years, I’ve developed a pretty interesting and diverse skill set. Firstly, we’ll get my certifications out of the way:
Apple Certified Portable Technician (2001-2009)
Apple Certified Desktop Technician (2001-2009)
Apple Certified Macintosh Technician (2009- 2017)
Apple Certified Mobile Technician (2008 – 2017)
Apple Certified LaserWriter Technician (2001-2003)
Apple/CryWolf Mac OS X Server Essentials Certificate
As is evidenced above, I have a decent amount of experience with Apple ecosystem support and break-fix, applying to hardware, software, and cloud services. Having been trained by Apple, my methodologies revolve around fault-isolation, and working from least invasive solutions, toward a solid fix of the issue.
Similarly to illustrate, it should be noted that I’ve been servicing, troubleshooting, and working in Mac based environments since before there was a thing called “iMac.” To wit, I’ve worked on just about every model of Macintosh computer, Apple // series machines, and the Lisa. Likewise, I’ve worked on every model of iPod, iPhone, and iPad. And, to take it even further, in terms of hardware, I’ve likewise serviced numerous non computer Apple products including Newtons, eMates, QuickTake cameras, printers, AirPort hardware, AppleTV’s, Apple displays, and so on. If it’s Apple hardware, I’ve disassembled it. Beyond this, I have experience with numerous 3rd party hardware and software solutions, having deployed Ubiquiti hardware in multiple situations, as well as replacing and organizing rack-mount hardware as well.
In terms of software, I’m proficient with Mac OS system 6 through current, and iOS 1 through current. Beyond this, I have a functional working knowledge of numerous software suites both at the consumer and corporate level. These include ZenDesk, Intelligent hub, JAMF, Code42, BetterCloud, G-Suite Carbon Black, AWS, Fuze, Duo, LucidChart, Zoom, Confluence, GoToMeeting, GoToAssist, LastPass, Docusign, Slack, Mimecast, Okta, Discord, Final Cut Pro, Chrome, Apple Remote Desktop, The Adobe Suite, just to name a few.

SoftSkills
Just as important as my hardware/software skill set, I have a robust and decent set of soft skills as well. I have extensive experience working in fast paced and compressed environments. I’m comfortable in a team-oriented and goal/results driven situation. I’m self motivated and I’m capable of high levels of documentation of my given workflow, in order to keep my and other teams apprised of my status and direction. Likewise, I’m hard working, learn quickly, and prone to a positive and engaged disposition. (Cats also like me.)
Beyond this, i’m capable of assessing the technical experience of my given interaction, and can tailor my technical delivery of information to match the user, communicating complex concepts in easy to understand terms, scalable based on the interaction. This allows for empathy and understanding, leading to a more functional and rewarding peer/colleague interaction, and promotes an open flow of knowledge and productivity.
