Wednesday morning. The wife and I are planning a trip to a name brand home improvement warehouse. We need dirt to fill the planter boxes I built her. Just as she says “I’m almost ready, I just need a minute!” A certain email account asks for a password. Again. For the thousandth time. I sigh. I’m very tired of the experience from that specific web host. Their email service is terrible.
I log into the portal for my dedicated email hosting. I add that specific domain to my account. I tab over to my domain host, log in, and alter my DNS MX records to match my email host. I back up the messages in email to a local folder. Kill the accounts on my phone and computers. Re-up with the new IMAP info. Everything works. I dump my email back over, it syncs, everything resolved. I check the time. 6 minutes. My wife then pops in my office. “I’m ready, let’s go!”
Take that email. 6 minutes, and my problem is solved.
